When are App Store sales usually expected?

At the risk of this sounding like a commercial, there's a bunch of app sites around the web that'll take note of the apps you've bought or are interested in and let you know when the price has dropped, risen, or the software's otherwise been updated. My all time favorite so far's App Shopper (won't post the link as I've been censured on other forums on other sites before for that, lol) as with them you can make a profile with exactly those features and get e-mail alerts for apps you're interested in and whatnot.
But yeah generally sales hit around the holidays, any holiday for that matter, but not everyone does this consistently.

Of course, but as an example, Black Friday was a time when a lot of software developers, notably some big companies, put their apps on sale. I'm asking because I only recently got my iPod Touch and am curious to know were there any other times besides Black Friday during when there were big sales.
Because it is a digital good not limited by supply, there is no universal rhyme or reason for when a developer will put an app for sale. In general, it probably has a lot more to do with how well the app is doing on the app store, then any calendar date.
Well, I think that if an app is doing well, then even if an event like Black Friday hits, the app will not go on sale. These apps go on sale if the developer feels that the app isn't selling well, and I think they take advantage of Black Friday to test different price points to perhaps choose a better price for their app.
x2. I just use appshopper.com and have them notify me of apps on sale on my wishlist. Then I wouldn't have to worry when the app is on sale.
Pretty sure you won't have that problem here considering the person (Arn) that made/runs this site is the same person that made/runs appshopper.com
