I have it set for my app updates to download automatically but I noticed I’ve had updates that haven’t downloaded since yesterday. Still have a red badge on the App Store. I’m on WiFi so it can’t be a file size issue. When exactly do apps update automatically and why have I had updates that haven’t downloaded in over a day?

When are app updates supposed to download automatically?

I have mine set to auto update apps and leave it plugged in (and on wifi) each night, yet it still doesn't to it, I have to manually update them every few days. I've had this issue on both my older iPhone 8 Plus and my new XS Max. Not sure what I am missing but I can't be the only one.
