When backing up your iPhone to iCloud, does it automatically back up your music?

I'd like to put music on my iPhone, but don't see an option in Settings to not back up music to iCloud. If I can't turn this off, I'd rather not put music on my iPhone because 5GB is not very much space, and other stuff on my iPhone is more important to get sent to iCloud than music.

music is either stored in iTunes or in the cloud if you have iTunes match setup. But when your phone is backed up onto the cloud no music is backed up. either you have to download it from your match account or sync with itunes.
