Just curious a rough time frame on any type of 5.0 ROM for stock type phones like GPE or OnePlus One? I know the Nexus phones will be getting 5.0 shortly, but what about the ROM community working on Lollipop builds ?

- Official CM12S won't be released until Jan / Feb ?

- CM12 Nightlies ? Is a rough Alpha nightly of CM12 maybe just a week or so away, or a good month+ away ?

- Other ROM's outside of CM, like early Alpha versions Paranoid or Mahdi based off 5.0 Lollipop due in a few weeks, or are they months away ?

It's already on AOSP I think, right? So I would say this weekend maybe, but it's just a guess.

Maybe a month or so. The full 5.0 factory images haven't even been released for the Nexus 5 - what is out right now is just raw AOSP code that you can't really do much with. I, for one, have been refreshing my web pages waiting for new of the 5.0 factory image...

According to Forbes, Lollipop has been delayed (N4/N5) to Nov 12th due to bugs.

So it seems a nice 5.0 Lollipop ROM will be a Christmas present :D I would guess 7 weeks from now, we should have some good ROM's cooked up ?

If that is true, that is totally untrue and a push to get people to preorder versus waiting.

It is possible that there is a bug with LTE versions, while WiFi versions are fine. Wouldn't be the first time LTE models had delays due to bugs.

XDA will have ROMs up within 48 hours of the full code release.

LG G3 (D855) receives its first TWRP compatible rooted Android Lollipop ROM
http://www.androidauthority.com/lg-g3-d855-twrp-lollipop-rom-566104/

Fortunately, XDA Forum member skin1980 has created a .zip file of Android Lollipop for the D855 version of the LG G3 that can be flashed through the tried and tested TWRP custom recovery. This method allows LG G3 owners to keep the old bootloader and move back to old KitKat based backups with ease, although users will need to remember to flash a modem file when switching back. If this wasn’t helpful enough, the ROM also has a kernel available that supports rooting.

The ROM is based on the latest v.20A LG build of Android Lollipop, meaning that it has a few extra bug fixes and patches applied compared with some of the .kdz files we reported on the other day. It’s not clear if this is the final build that LG intends to roll out in the coming weeks, but reports suggest that the build is stable.

The only requirement to try this out is ROM is that you’re running the international D855 version of the LG G3 (don’t try this on other carrier branded versions!) and that you have TWRP installed. The instructions and files can all be found in the source link below.

Most comments have been like this guys experience; " Tried this and everything worked OK. I just feel that maybe due to the LG bloatware and their customization it seems it's lacking something. No heads up, slow animations, slight lag.... To be honest, when the official update comes, think I'll stick with CM 11 and wait for CM 12. "

Sorry about the bad link, I was trying to take off the # at the end for mid page and screwed it up. Thanks for the fix.

So now when using Maps, to choose to use battery saving mode, high accuracy or device only, you have to open maps on go in settings. I don't like that as much as it was on 4.4.4
