MacRumor Control to Apple: "Do we have a "launch" time yet?" Give us a sign!

I mean, does anyone know the exact date/time units will be available for sale in stores? I'm in NYC, and the Fifth Avenue store is open 24/7, so I'm trying to figure out what the exact ETA on the saleable units will be so that I can set my Dashboard's Countdown widget. Maybe it will involve camping out overnight--no problem.

Help me out here with a spec, please, so that we can count down the days, hours, minutes, and seconds until the PARTEEEE!!!

Something tells me that when the sale date is announced it's not going to be a big secret.

Something also tells me that you wont have to camp out to get one either. I know for sure I'm not and I'm going on release day as well.

Maybe not camp out, but when you could pre-order a 3gs iphone i did. When i got to the Apple store, there were two lines. One for preorders and one for walk-ups. I waited 2 hours in line. There was about 10 people in front of me and in that time i only saw about 3 people from the walk-up line go in. But plenty got fed up with waiting and walked off. I'm pre-ordering from now on .
