I bought a MacBook and thinking about how to protect it from damage.
The last time I broke my MacBook by accidentally drooping it.

As far as I understand, any AppleCare product doesn't cover the cost when you break it by an accidental damage.
If it doesn't cover it, is it even useful? Accidental damages should be the biggest worry, right?

No. Unfortunately, I had many Apple products break, perhaps from wear, or perhaps from manufacturing faults. I had my MacBook Air repaired three times under AppleCare, until I finally persuaded them to give me a new one. My iPhones have also been replaced, for example when the Lightening port broke. My iMac also broke, but after AppleCare expired.

Generally, I don't by extended warranties, but for Apple their service is so good that I think it pays off.

Hmm maybe it's important to ask yourself this...

Would you be more upset with paying for a replacement due to a hardware failure (something that AppleCare covers) or would you be more upset with paying for a replacement due to an accidental drop?

I'd go with being more upset paying for a replacement due to a hardware failure.
