just curious what you guys think. i think we'll definately see it before or at WWDC, maybe next tuesday? The gap between MB and MBP is way too close. im sick of waiting.

id say wwdc - i think they would have updated it before the mb if they werent gonna do it at wwdc (so steve can show it off).

it'd have to be a pretty impressive update to have steve show it off, and SR/LED/maybe new graphics card aren't stevenote worthy when you've got leopard and the iPhone coming soon.

I think as soon as it's put together and hoping thats before wwdc

If it's anything more than minor revisions, WWDC. It's pretty hard to tell, but as time ticks by I'm ever hopeful. I believe the MBP has the potential for some keynote action, but Apple have made it clear that they're very busy with iPhone right now so there may not even be anything until Leopard comes out in October.

I would agree normally, but I think if its the first mac with LED tech he may want to flaunt that because of that "greener apple" letter he put out. Though it would be a smaller note in comparison to the other things at the keynote of course. but time will probably prove me wrong...

Right. I'm really hoping that a) New MBP's will be released (I've got a lovely list of specs I'd like to see included in the next revision) and b) that I have the money to buy said computer.

But this is WWDC, a developers conference, meaning that it's more likely than not, that all we'll see is a feature-complete Leopard. If I remember correctly, Leopard was the only thing demoed at last year's WWDC and there's a good chance that will be all that's demoed this year (ie: no new hardware). Now of course, I'd like to see new hardware; it's always exciting. But don't get your hopes up too high, otherwise you'll suffer a horrible fate (Post Steve-note let down ;) - See the MB update thread. :p )

WWDC has with iPhone, Leopard preview and new MBP's three topics for the keynote. The one more thing could be the 12" MBP.

That's not too much for steves average 90 min Keynote. Of course the MBP's would have to be Santa Rosa, Robson Caching, new GPU to make them Keynote worthy. Maybe even LED but I'm not sure because steve said in his green Apple letter that the industry has to make them in quantities first.

What surprises me is that there are no rumors about a new form factor of MBP's (the form factor is quite old but if it was me it could stay like this forever). There was of course the rumor of the new industrial design of the iMac.

I'm still clinging to the logic that :

MBP = Pro Machine, WWDC is for Pros therefore new MBP.

They introduced the Mac Pro at the last WWDC, and methinks there is a hardware announcement at almost every WWDC, but I might be wrong.

I also think that as the WWDC is a 'Pro' event, they're not going to cry iPhone, since they haven't even said they will let 3rd parties develop for it yet.

And I'm desperate to get a new MBP this summer! :D

Definitely WWDC, although I think we'll see an update in the minis some Tuesday before then.

LOL. I'm getting like you lot with the endless speculation :D
