Today was a reputation that almost confirms (in my opinion) that an update is on the way for our lovely iMac and Macbook (but who cares...). But the article says within weeks, so I just wonder: when do you think the new iMac will?

How long do you think we will have to wait until there's a new Imac? End of this month? Or October?

Last year was almost the best keynote of the whole year in October, when they launched unibody to Macbook Pro - do you think we might see something similar this year?If it comes out a call for an additional event, then it must surely be for the iMac's future, right?

Speculate.

Personally I think the end of October, as last year, and that the invitation to keynote sent out in mid-October - perfect in time for Christmas shopping. :)

I'd say

If they could beat Windows 7 Oct. 22 release date while lowering prices they'd not only upstage MS but it'd also help convert more than a few people - inc. me ! : )

Apple already released Snow Leopard way before Windows 7...

iMacs don't sell so well that Apple would be scared because of Windows 7. Before Oct 22 is possible though

I could seem Apple wanting to get the iMac out before Window 7. There has to be people waiting for Windows 7 before buying a new computer, and if Apple has brand new hardware (especially a new design), it might steal some sales.

Of course, this doesn't mean Apple has the hardware internally to upgrade the iMac yet.
