Ok so with the virus going around china which in an of itself is a horrible thing, I have my doubts we will see the Next Gen iPad Pro launch in March. Now there is no reason why they cant announce it, but i doubt it will be in the public hands in 60 days! My guess is, they might hold off on even announcing it until WWDC or even a fall event due to the virus, and if the rumors of it having 3d Depth Sensors on it are true, that to me is kind of a Flagship Feature reserved for the iPhones, So why put that out on the iPad before the next gen phones...get what i am saying?

Also, realistically what do you want from them? Me personally my biggest wishlist item is a stronger frame to prevent bending as i have encountered this issue with multiple ipad pros and I am as delicate with my Apple Products as a newborn baby, and i always put them in the most protective cases i can get my hands on (most of the time otterbox defender cases)

Sure i wouldent mind a 3d Sensor, better cameras and a new processor, but practically speaking i dont know how much use they would get from me. If i take a photo with anything its with my Iphone 11 pro max! The most i use any tablet camera is for facetime and the ocasional document scanning.

I wouldent mind a Full HDR display even if its not an OLED Screen, and i would love it if apple made their own version of the Brydge Keyboards instead of that horrid keyboard cover they sell. My whole issue with that is, as much as i love the feel of a brydge keyboard i hate having to clamp it onto the screen to use it and i wish they would just make a version where it connected to the pogo pins like the apple keyboard does so it doesnt put undue pressure on the screen and frame.

I know theres rumors that apple is making a butterfly switch keyboard for the ipad with a backlight and i hope its simular to the Brydge style and not that shallow fabric keyboard they put out now

What are your thoughts?

I hope they will release it in the first half of March because I'm in Asia but going to Europe for a month in April and I'd like to buy it at a cheaper price.

However, I'm mainly looking for a CPU and Ram power up because I do illustration and abstract graphic design...sometimes I really need a lot of power. I'm also good with the camera update because I take a lot of reference pictures very often. I do not care about 5G because I think it's an avoidable technology. I also hope that in the future some company will bring more 3D sculpting tools on the IPP because I see a lot of potentials.

I've never owned a tablet in my life but as a designer, I have to admit that the Ipad is something that excites me quite a lot because of its immediate approach to digital art.

At the iPhone 9 event (I’d like to assume).

The usual Apple event time in March should put it around the week of the 23rd. So soon after that.

The main things I’m going to be using it for are: language learning for writing and typing (I will need to pick up a foreign keyboard for it), machine learning, ultra portability for work stuff, movies and some light gaming. The main thing is the language learning. I need to be able to write and type as well as organise all my notes. It is getting quite tricky now referring to years worth of notes.

I'm hoping the new iPad Pro will be released in March too but I think the coronavirus might have an impact on this. It will be great if it comes with the same camera system as the iPhone 11 Pro and a base storage of 128gb. I'm looking forward to buying it.

The new IPad can ship with a 3D hologram projector and 32GB of RAM I don’t care. My #1 Rule is always skip at least 1 IPad Pro Generation.
Even if under Best dream scenario it ships with a OLED, or MiniLED Display. Does that make my 11” iPad Pro any less amazing.
If you already own an iPad Pro 11” there’s is Nothing a new iPad Pro in 2020 could offer the customer as a reason to upgrade.
2 year old 10.5“ owners could be the target.

Why ?
#1.The CPU the A12X is and will remain a Game changer for many years. 7nm and 8 Cores with HMP.

Even If, Apple releases an A13X it’s not a huge leap over the A12X

#2. It will be very odd for Apple to release a CPU before the iPhone version. TSMC is at max capacity just to make 5nm A14 CPUs. I don’t think it’s logical for Apple to have Samsung, or GF make A14X CPUs before TSMC is making regular A14 versions non-X

As a medical student I am contemplating buying the refurb 1TB 12.9” (For the 6GB of RAM) for $1319 from Apple with pencil and keyboard case or base 13” MacBook Pro with the 4 TB ports. I used the 10.5” Pro all through undergrad and it was amazingly useful as a premed/Med student. My only reservation is if Apple announce the new iPad Pro with base RAM of 6GB, I only need 256GB of storage so I could theoretically get the newer model for the same as the refurbished 1TB.
