When do you think we'll see iPhone 3.2 beta?

2.0 Released July 11th ---- 3.0 Released June 17th
2.2 Released November 21st ---- 3.2 Released ?
So bassed off that we are overdue for 3.2 I bet Apple will release a beta soon but who knows!

I am hoping we will get a "snow leopard" type build. As much as it is a 3.x release I think they still could do it. This would include optimization for the 3G users as well as battery life. I know you can not improve the battery life a ton from software but you can get it a bit better.
As well I am still waiting for vibrate only as a function for text messages when the phone is still in ring mode.

Yeah, I'm getting a little worried about this one. With these iPhone 4.0 rumors now circulating, maybe apple is hard at work on iPhone OS 4.0, skipping the 3.2 beta entirely.
I remember the 2.2 beta brought street view and google transit. Maybe they're going to bring the free Google Turn by Turn App to the iPhone in this beta and the radio app that was previously rumored. I wouldn't be surprised if they are just going to hold off on these apps/improvements until 4.0 and use them as key selling points to launch a new iPhone and OS.
Would the 3GS and new iPod Touch even be able to support the voice commands in the Google turn by turn app? I really wish the voice app now could play/recognize single song names (does anyone know why it doesn't?).

But there are other things to consider, for example if Apple is working on a tablet, that might be pulling developers from both iPhone and OS X teams to work on a customized OS for it.
Apple have a lot of things to improve on, redesigned Springboard that's optimized for multiple applications, battery life, lighter OS cuz iPhone OS 1.x in my opinion was the most responsive OS that ever released. iPhone OS 3.x just feels like they are packing everything on top of 1.x and never improved the foundation.

There's a balance for everything of course, but yes I would sacrifice some features to get the performance as well as battery life. I already turn off 3g, bluetooth, push notify and locations just to get extended battery life when I know I'll be out for a long time. There should be an easy way to do battery life management, one button to turn off all the non-essential services except for edge.
I fully agree... But how much longer battery do we actually get when we turn these services off?

Yea SBSettings. I use it as well. It should be included by default.
Altho, that's a nice theme, which one is that?
SBSettings is a godsend. Saves so many taps.
And the theme is Tenuis Matte. Comes standard with the installation and I just started using it tonight. Looks awesome.
I really doubt they'll add any big features. I suspect the next big things will be Google turn-by-turn directions and the radio app, but I suspect those will be saved for 4.0. I wouldn't be surprised if they skip the 3.2, but if they do make one I suspect it will be mainly bug fixes and optimization.
I don't know about the iPod Touch, I don't think it has a mic, but the 3GS (only device I can speak to) could definitely support the voice commands in a Google app. You should try the Google Mobile app in the app store, it uses what seems to be an identical technique to use voice commands for Google search.
Don't confuse .x with .x.x releases, .x.x is the bugfix only. .x does come with new features. If it wasn't for the yearly release schedule, .x would come out more often with major features. Look at my link to iPhone OS release history to see what features came out with .x releases.
I'm saying the only new features in a .X update will be minor (unless of course we leapfrog from .1 to .5 for example, but apple doesn't play like that)
The compelling new features are always saved for an announcement/yearly revision of the iphone along with an X.0 upgrade.
