I am in need of a new phone right now.

I have considered the iPhone as i already have a MacbookPro but i realized that the current 3GS is almost a year old!

So instead i have decided to do the following:

1) get the Droid
2) return Droid within 30days (by that time the Nexus One will be at Verizon)
3) exchange for Nexus One
4) use Nexus One until the new iPhone comes out
5) ditch Nexus One and get New iPhone

I will probably have to waste money terminating lines and stuff like that, but i am fine with the loss of a 100 or 200 bucks.

So, when do you guys expect the new iPhone to be released?

by the way, any comments, suggestions, etc will be appreciated. I am leaving literally right now to go to the Verizon Store to execute my plan outlined above.

Come on Steve, you're supposed to know this stuff!! :)

There is a chance that it will come out tomorrow.

However, the best chance is June/July.

I won't tell you to search, since you're Steve.

Yeah, Phil said at WWDC in January that'd be out tomorrow. Where have you been?

Are you out-of-contract with Verizon? I'm certainly not going to do the math for you, but it might be cheaper to just get the 3GS now, and sell it when the new iPhone comes out and use the money to offset the cost of the nex gen. iPhone...

LOL. Not soon enough I guess.

well... I'm going to go on a limb and say that the next iPhone (whatever it's called, must keep Steve Jobs up at night) is going to be released on the first Monday of WWDC 2010 (just like the 3GS), and since Moscone West is booked June 28-July 2 for a mysterious "corporate event" (BTW that disappeared from their website once speculation rose that Apple had booked;how Apple-ish) it might, just might be on June 28. The release date would be on the Friday after that (again, like the 3GS), in this case July 9 2010. You heard it here first, folks! Again, just my 2 cents... Does this make sense to you guys?

This is where I was going. Since you already know you're going to ditch Verizon why not get the iPhone now, use the next few months to decide if it's right for you, and if so get the new one when it's released this summer. If for some reason you don't like it, you've got the option to return it within the 30 days and get another AT&T phone or go back to Verizon.

LOL, its that time of the year...(for these topics!) haha! Love it.

idk about u guys i got mine yesterday, o im sorry that was the time travel feature in non iphone 4GTT terms its tomorrow sorry for the mix up

Hey guys; my contract with AT&T will be up late this summer and I'll be looking to upgrade. Does anybody know when the fourth generation iPhone will be coming out?
