And fyi, Garmin is also working on a turn by turn app for the iPhone. I personally would wait for that as I think Garmin is #1 in the GPS arena. I am guessing these will not be cheap apps, so its worth considering the wait - I doubt they are too far behind TOMTOM (I think they are dumb to be even 1 day behind, but I digress) in terms of release date.
Honestly I don't think this will be necessary since the Maps app still gives you directions and has sufficient GPS. Paying for some voice to speak to you isn't worth it if you ask me.

it has voice turn by turn, you don't speak to it, it speaks to youDon't be surprised if the app is only for 3G S. It does have voice which reminds me of the voice feature that the 3G S has and not the 3G or 1st Gen. Apple probably doesn't want to show that it's easy to implement the voice control feature on the older gen iPhones.
