Apple said Mountain Lion will ship next month, but does anyone know or have an idea as to the actual date of the release?
Or maybe, they literally meant next month as in July 11th. what do you guys think?

They just said "next month". There was never a specific day announced. If Apple decides to do things like Lion, they will give us a final date closer to the release (say a week) before. Right now though, it can be anytime from the first of July to July 31'st

They said that DP4 is near final, so if I had to guess:

-Week of June 25 for GM.

-Week of July 9 for final.

I mean i know they didn't give a date, but July 1st-31st is so vague though. If you had to guess just for fun what specific date would it be? I'm just curious to see what other Mac users think and maybe when the release date comes around we can look and see if we were close or maybe even right!

I'm loving your little timetable there. I hope your right.

I'm really looking forward to power nap, mountain lion is feeling more and more like a real upgrade. I also hope they fix major bugs (like the ones macmongral mentioned) before launch though.

Even if these issues were widespread they aren't deal breakers. Graphics Corruption is likely a driver issue and notifications aren't difficult to fix.

That's too bad about the Aperture issue you're experiencing. Hope you submit a bug report.

Totally opposite experience so far with DP4. Unlike the first 3 DPs, this is the first one for me that I have yet to see one bug (I don't use Aperture). Going on almost 24 hours of use and it's rock solid so far on my early-2009 iMac. The four major bugs I experienced in DP3 for which I submitted bug reports are now gone completely too.

I'm gonna keep using it exclusively for the next week and see if anything pops up but so far it's gold in my experience. :)

Mountain Lion

So.....

l'm get getting the Macbook Retina sometime next month.

All come with Mountain Lion right ? As it would be silly to get it, only to find an update is 2 days away.

Yes, if you get it now you get a up to date code to redeem ML for free, after it's released, the newer stock has it pre-installed.

It would be kinda, but if it isn't going to cost you extra, it makes no difference either way.

The firm date is whenever Apple feels like releasing it.

At their convenience and not a moment sooner.

It's good to be in control & lord it over the masses. LOL
