I am in "streaming mode" and for the heck of it, I bought a CD on Apple TV, expecting it to appear on my Mac after I downloaded it. I remember Jobs saying this would happen, what am I missing?

I've been wondering the same thing. I still haven't figured out how to transfer info from my ATV to my computer.

Can't speak to songs, but when I bought a TV show on the AppleTV I found it in my iTunes directory on the main computer that feeds the ATV.

Whenever I purchase songs on the ATV, they immediately sync back to iTunes on my computer where I can burn them.

It's a setting somewhere but I'm not sure which one.

I have all of my music set up to sync. I have yet to see Apple TV generate a "Hey, iTunes! Start syncing" message, but when iTunes next syncs, my Apple TV purchased music gets moved to my iMac.

When that happens, btw, the trash icon on the Apple TV song list disappears.

THere is a playlist 'Purchased on AppleTV' if im not mistaken which syncs it automatically..

Hmm...where is that? Sorry- I'me still pretty new to ATV.

Ya under the Summary tab as mentioned pick custom sync and then just make sure all of the tabs with movies and what not aren't checked. That way it'll sync every time you open itunes w/o syncing your library to it.
