Mid 2010 MBP, just upgraded to High Sierra. Photoshop seems to run ok, but every time I quit manually, I get the message saying that 'Photoshop quit unexpectedly.'

Anyone know why this would be happening?

Does PhotoShop actually give you any problems in normal use? Does it ever "unexpectedly Quit" while you are using it?
Anything else other than that "ungraceful, or rude" result when you decide to quit Photoshop?

I did find some reports about PrintShop CS5.1 and High Sierra - that it appears to function OK, but quitting the app is very quick, then an "Unexpectedly Quit" window pops up. (But, says that that app works OK.) Sound familiar?
I suggest that you always save your work - and with reports like that, maybe you can consider updating to CS6 or higher (if that's in your budget...) or just expect the pop-up window when you quit PS, as long as it does the work for you.

Try removing the following plug-in. Hopefully you don't need it for your workflows.

/Applications/Adobe Photoshop CS5/Plug-ins/Extensions/ScriptingSupport.plugin

I had yet to do extensive testing but it seemed to run fine and only have that issue when I quit the program...

Thanks! I actually came across that late last night and it worked. I had to go inside the contents and rename a file in there and it is totally working so far. Not sure how someone figured that out!
