when I send a RAW photo on my 14 PM to someone via WhatsApp or other messaging apps, who is automatically doing the RAW-to-JPEG conversion?

is it the iPhone's own Photos app or the WhatsApp app that's doing the conversion before or during the sending of the RAW photo?

i would say it's whatsapp, as before sending anything it processes it (compress, etc), videos and images
