When is Apple bringing out Apple Vision Pro 2?

When is Apple bringing out Apple Vision Pro 2?

I’m wondering when Apple is bringing out Apple Vision Pro 2 that is less bulky and longer battery life?

Was there not Apple Vision that was suppose to be cheaper and less bulky?

I believe there will be an updated one with the m6 or m7 chip.

Hopefully they will also release it to more markets.

What point about "the Vision Pro is not profitable at all" is not clear? The thing bombed hard. Apple sees making a new version of it as a waste of tremendous amounts of money, which they rather spent on developing smart glasses.

What do you mean the Vision Pro bombed hard?

I thought most of the complaints and people trying to return it where complaining it is too bulky and really short battery life not to say price being very expensive for the average customer.

The main problem is the people who never bought Vision Pro in the first place.

People do not want to wear goggles that socially isolate them from the world. They don’t want to buy loner goggles with no killer app. Apple can’t fix the lack of social acceptance. That’s why it was killed and will be replaced with glasses.

Yeah, but AAPL didn't help themselves any by not allowing those of us who forked over $4-5 grand to buy the original version (in my case on Day 1) to trade their V 1 headset in on the newer version. That would have generated some income, but NO... no trade in path at all. Grrrrrrrr....

They weren’t released globally initially and even now they are only available in 12 markets.

I believe the apple vision pro was extremely profitable for apple and a third version will be released shortly, hopefully in more than 12 markets.
 
according to this morning’s newsletter from Bloomberg, Apple is working on both health focused versions of glasses and the next generation of Vision Pro.

Also lol to all of the randoms just saying that the product is dead, it’s not.
visionOS 26 is a pretty big update, and it was just announced two months ago.
Apple isn’t going to one and done a complete platform that they’ve had developers invest into, that they’ve signed several enterprise contracts with over, that they continue to update the software of every year.

Anyone who was around for the original Apple TV should see this playbook from a mile away.
The first generation was introduced in 2006, the second generation not until 2010, but over those four years, they continued improving the software.
All reporting currently says that the glasses are the big thing for 2027, but then it’s very possible the Vision Pro makes a return in 2028. Seems like a pretty safe bet to me.
Wouldn’t even be surprised to see them give it a bump to the M7 next year as another stopgap.

I disagre I believe they sold incredibly well in the initial launch market, due to component constraints.

And Apple continued to expand to other markets as component supply were replenished.

Vision Pro sold incredible poorly in the launch countries and it was never out of stock.

U.S. and China already represent 50% of global sales. With Canada, UK, Australia, France, Germany, etc., the total is already 70% to 80%.

Global cumulative sales to date is estimated to be 475,000 to 500,000. Remember, the original fear was Sony would be the bottleneck due to being able to produce 500k displays for 2024. It turns out that was never a factor.

Those were the figures thrown around before the Apple Vision Pro launched.

It seems to be doing incredibly well despite its large price tag and minuscule global market availability.

Even by your estimates, the median average of around 2 - 4 billion in revenue.

That’s just insane, especially to label 2-4 billion in revenue a failure.

It's a failure because Apple is $5T company.

In terms of availability, it's Vision Pro is available in markets that matter. China and U.S. are the largest economies in the world, followed by Germany, Japan, UK.

You don't seem to understand revenue isn't profit. iPhone 12 and 13 mini sold a combined 30 to 45 million units globally, meaning a combined revenue of $30+ billion. It's considered a failure because there's an idea called opportunity cost.
