Other When is CC charged for in-store pickup?

So this is my first pre-order where I selected to have store pickup on launch day.
I ordered my watch and XS Max separate for the same pickup time next Friday.

The 2 years before I pre-ordered with VZW for my 7+ and had it shipped. The X order I just walked into the store and bought it on launch day.

When does Apple charge my CC on file? Next week or when I go to the store and get it, etc?

Thanks! Just wondering. My statement cut last night and I don't see the charge yet so I should have about 60 days to pay in full with no interest Great timing!

You might see a pending charge, but the “real” charge should show up around the time it ships, if I remember correctly.

Last year when I did the pick up, they charged me the night before the launch day. So likely next Thursday night. But right now it's just a temp/hold state so it will be dropped in couple of days, but will come back again later.

I will keep an eye on my card. Not a big deal I was just curious.
