i'm happy with the current specs on the macbook pro. the only thing i'd improve is battery life, and i don't expect to see major improvements in that anytime soon. if you can wait, it might be a good idea to wait for leopard and ilife to be released. i, myself, would purchase now.

until the day you die.

There is no right time to buy a MBP, just buy it when you need it.

That's right, get them while they're grainy -- caveat emptor indeed!

(PS are you a Law / Latin student?!)

I would say the best time would be to hold out for iLife + OSX if you can wait.

theres a real problem with peolpe buying laptops and computers from apple. I was part of this myself once... everyone asks is it a good time to buy... apple do rev like every 6 months and there will always be newer and better, if you need it now, get it now, Apple laptops have a good resale value so you might aswell take a chance, if you want a laptop go get it. Its not like its the end of the world if theres a revision, PC laptops are never in date for long, theres new things all the time... just go and get one if you want it!

Another thing laptops are always updated so if u buy one its always goign to go out of date, so theres no point complaining
