I know that no one really knows (and if they can, they cant say)....but when would you expect to see some sort of speed bump upgrades to the iMacs?

What about the BIG question: when is apple gonna really get behind this blueray technology that they've signed onto?

Nice big 24inch 1200 1940 display, and no BlueRay drive to play on it!

(i guess the war is still on huh?)

Apple pays to get on the development board with a lot of new technology, but that doesn't mean they will use that technology.

First fixes, then upgrades.

Agreed.

Also.. Lets remember that hardware updates would seem to be less frequent these days. The iMacs didnt get updated for nearly a year. And only 10 weeks ago we got the new alu iMacs.

Its way too soon to speculate about updated ones.

Wait for Montevina

New iMacs won't appear until 2008. I would expect the next revision to coincide with the Montevina chipset release. iMacs will get Penryn processors at that time too. Here's to hoping better GPUs, eSATA, and Bluray are also included!

iMac won't see major updates for about a year. The next update will be good but nothing great. It will be interesting to see when they decide to put High Def players in their machines, though.
