When my iMac goes to sleep and wakes wireless no connection

I am on MacOS Sierra (10.12) not why this is happening but after waking up my iMac from sleep wireless status icon shows not connected and I have to connect back to wireless myself.


Is there a fix or a fix coming soon in the next update?

I'm having the same issue. Late 2013 27" iMac. Doesn't happen every time, but enough to be annoying. I haven't seen it since upgrading to 10.12.1 beta 3 so far, but it's only been 2 days.

It doesn't re-connect on it's own ? Mine shows as disconnected from WiFi when I wake it up but it re-connects within 2-3 seconds so it doesn't really impact me. In your case, it sounds like it never re-connects.

It's been ~2 years now and Apple changed something that puts the network adapter to sleep. The setting "Wake for WiFi network access" is ignored as well. I have to configure my iMacs to never sleep in case I need remote access to them.

yes, it does not re-connect on its own after waking up from sleep really annoying but sometimes it does but a lot of times it doesn't. Grrr, I hope there is a fix for this it is terrible when it comes to watching movies over Netflix.
