So I think my AirPods Pro are either dead or dying. The left side won’t connect. It has had issues before and notably a much lower charge capacity than the right one. In any case, I’m wondering if there are any speculations when the next upgrade to the AirPods Pro might come.

I’m considering buying new AirPods Pro but probably don’t want to buy one right away if there‘s a good chance that it might be upgraded (or even if it’s just a minor case upgrade) in the next several months. Speculations from anyone about when the next upgrade might be?

Likely not for a while. Airpods pro 2 were released in 10/2022. Airpods pro 1 were originally 10/30/2019. My guess would be around 10/2024 or even in 2025 or maybe 2026

I would definitely Buy Now, because they were Just Updated. No rumors that I’ve seen. Gen 2 seems a good step up from 1.

Thanks @Apple_Tiger and @sunapple! I think I will get some new ones today. Looks like Target has them on sale. I do wonder if it's only if you buy them online. Going to go to the physical store to see....

Welp…I did end up buying 2nd gen AirPods Pro. I guess if new ones are announced at WWDC, I’m going to return them and wait — maybe. ;-)

I’ve even bought AirPods Max two weeks ago which have been out for what feels like 5 years but who cares. I’m very happy with them.

That's good :)

I simply didn't want to get APP if they are to be updated relatively soon. But luckily with the 2 week return policy, I can still see if anything would be offered at WWDC.
