Hi all,

I've been loving my iPhone (got it just a few days ago!) and really have only had one issue so far...

Sometimes when I am browsing in Safari, the iPhone will just minimize it and go back to the main home screen (as if I just hit the home button). I am 99% sure I am not hitting the home button, but it's doing it anyways. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, is it a known bug, or I am just touching/hitting something I shouldn't?

Thanks :)

This indicates that your Safari crashed on the phone thats why it takes you back to the home screen. I have experienced this every no and then though it has become stable after the updates.

Yeah I have only used it on 1.0.2 so I have nothing to compare it to. Yeah it does feel like a crash, now that you mention it. When I go back, it displays the page I started with before (i.e. if I originally went to page A, B, C, D - it crashes and the starts back up at page A).

BTW - this happens in Maps too.

Havent experienced that as yet.
Nothing much you could do hopefully the new update/firmware will improve things and make Safari even more stable.

I will wait for the new update then. Thanks to you all for your help :)

I've experienced this issue as well. Luckily it hasnt happened in the last few weeks though.

What annoys me the most, is when listening to music and surfing at the same time. Music randomly stops and/or Safari quits. It happened frequently enough, I quit doing the two at the same time. Future Software updates FTW!

Updated - I have seen a few different sites mention doing a hard reboot (hold the top button and the home button until you see the Apple logo). I just did that and no crashes so far. It's only been a few minutes, but here's hoping :)

This has been occuring more frequently and frequently lately... it wasn't like this before, and it's been on a wide variety of websites. From Facebook to CNN.

I actually just did a hard reset late last week, and alas...I had a couple crashes this past week. :(
