I want to buy one but something I know about Apple is if I buy it, they'll update it a couple of days later, so my money is staying firmly in my pocket at the moment!

Anyone know when the last product update was?

Hardware hasn't changed since Day 1.
v2 of the software was out last March, with a slight price drop in Jan 08.

Not trying to jack this thread but I have a question and I didnt think it was worthy of it's own thread...

Can you take the Apple TV device to different TVs to watch it on (like someone else's house) or does Apple somehow control how many TVs you can watch it on??

Thanks
(I know it's a dumb question but in my opinion Apple does dumb things sometimes)

Good question. I wonder if it'll only allow stuff to be played when it detects your home wifi or something.

I want to know if ATV plays YouTube.

Out of the box, it supports YouTube. You have to config the network, but it's no big deal.

It wouldnt surprise me if Apple did something like that. It really pisses me off that if I buy a movie from iTunes I cant burn it to DVD. Its my movie! I paid for it! Thats the one thing that keeps me from buying movies from iTunes.
I guess if Apple TV will let you bring it different places that isnt to bad. I most likely will buy one now.

Thanks guys
