when watching a show online (youtube, own movie) in iPhone 7 wghen receiving a txt msg

I am unable to continue and would have to close before continuing... anyone have this problem?

Essentially I have to restart a movie if I watch on youtube, dailymotion, etc.. and in IOS 9 this was not a problem. It forces me to quit the app before I can continue or move next.

But how does it force you to quit the app? Do you get a notification that appears and disappears and the move freezes at that time without a way to start again, or something else happens?
