when will a new imac come out?

i am new to the imac world! i really want to buy an imac but i cant get one right now because i need to pay for other things. im thinking about maybe getting one around may or june but i dont know if i should just wait for a newer imac? how often does a new imac come out? (im new to the mac world)

i really want an imac! haha

Remember thought that those numbers are based solely on averages...the Mac Pro has been saying Don't Buy Update Soon for a long time now, and we have not seen anything by an 8-Core option (the computer itself has not been updated since it was announced with the Intel Switch).

Most of the posts on here feel that the iMac will not be updated until around the summer/fall again. There is a chance they will put the Penryn Processor in it, however there is not one rumor pointing to it happening at Macworld...it is always safer to wait until after an Apple event.
