When will Amazon ship new MBP?

Anyone know when Amazon is going to start shipping their MBP's? I put one in the cart and went to buy it, but it says it's estimated to ship December 27. Also, I cant find the 15" glossy on there anywhere.

(I want to order from Amazon because I have a gift certificate there to help chop down the price)

Wow, so snippy! It's a reasonable question. Maybe someone else has gotten one from Amazon? Maybe someone else saw this same thing happen with another Apple product release? Maybe Apple normally takes care of their own orders before they open up to external resellers? I don't know. But someone else might. Maybe no one knows.

Their shipping dates have been a bit screwy, either lately or always. I ordered a generator cord the other day (yeah, not a Mac, but it's the same system), was told it'd ship overnight, then was told after the order was processed that it'd actually ship December 27th (odd, eh?), so I cancelled it, then re-ordered it because it seemed so screwy, and, magically, it was sent out yesterday.

So, grain of salt and all that.

All pre-orders from Amazon say December 27th. When I ordered my 8GB Nano, it said the same thing, but was shipped later that week. I got it fairly quickly. I also got an email saying my order was shipping ahead of schedule.

I think Amazon just has to wait for their own stock to come in before updating shipping times on their site.

Good to know... I have been wanting a new *book for a while now, and I finally get the cash and brass to order it.... and get weird ship dates.... I'll keep my fingers crossed! thanks

Well, they're IN-STOCK at Amazon now. Still can't find the glossy version. But, according to Amazon, I should get it by Wednesday! I did have to cancel the first order and reorder it tho. The original order still said "Dec 28" even tho the item was listed in-stock.
