When will android phones come in 128g

As per title. Stop giving us a micro sd slot but then limit the internal memory to 16gb. 16gb+ a 128gb card is still a 16gb phone/tablet because of the limitations of what can bs stored on an external card.

Worse thing is is that some of these 16gb devices are priced higher than a 64gb iphone.

What do you mean what limitations. Sd card can only store music and pics. You cant store apps on sd card. Therefore you effectively have 16gb space for apps/games etc. Some apps don't even let you store files used onto the sd card making internal memory vital.

You can store anything on the SD card including apps. Go into the app manager, select the app and Move to SD card. Remember that android apps are quite small so it's very unlikely you would exceed 16gb of apps (unless you're app crazy and installing hundreds). I have 115 apps and still have 4gb left (and I also have photos and music)

All I know are the prices where I live (Sweden), but the relation between the price levels should be the same in the rest of the world:

Note 4 (32 gb): 7490 SEK (afaik there is no 16 gb model planned)
iPhone 6 (128 gb):8395 SEK

So, the 32 gb Note 4 more expensive than the 128 gb iPhone 6? Not quite.

The more interesting comparison however would be between the same screen and RAM size models, and there the iPhone 6 Plus (16 gb) costs 7395 SEK here, in other words basically the same price as the 32 gb Note 4. So, the iPhones are still priced higher.

It depends on the device and the app. Some apps and devices will allow it and some won't.

Just like some native apps on Android end up taking more than 8GB of storage.

IMHO....the iphone wastes storage. You can add whatever data you want on a SD Card on a Android phone. The storage can also be recognized as a hard drive allowing for drag and drop to store any files or data you want to the SD Card. Then compare the price of adding 64GB or 128GB of storage to a base model 16GB phone. Android phones (with CD card slots) can INCREASE the storage by adding a SD Card. I cannot do this on my iPhone.

Been googling the past 30mins and still no luck. Every article/video points to a “move to sd card” button upon clicking settings>apps>(specific app) but I dont see this button. All I see is clear cache.

So how do I move a 2gb game for example to the sd card?

Nope....you can just click on Manage Apps, click on the app from the list that pops up and then click move to SD Card.

App to SD Card Transfer

Google removed the “App to SD card” transfer on Android KitKat OS which was included to previous Android versions such as 2.3 Gingerbread, 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and 4.1 to 4.3 Jelly Bean, but SonyXperia Z1, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact and Xperia T2 Ultra (4.4.2) regained the “App to SD Card” feature which enables us to move some specific applications to the external storage.

Must be a Sony Ultra thing/perhaps it's version of the OS. On the Note 3, I've moved most of the larger ones like TomTom GPS, Sygic GPS and all their maps, FxGuru movie maker, etc over to the SD Card. I also have my camera defaulted to the SD Card.

The reason Apple went with 128gb is because they don't have external storage option. Yes I would like 128gb on both internal and external too. But as long as I have 32gb of internal and SD slot, it's not that necessary yet.

Also realize, any device that support XC can support whatever the SD card manufacturers make. If card makers decide to make an 500gb or 1TB micro SD card tomorrow, even my S4 will support it.

The apps wont work that are on the SD card.......same as removing any storage. The data on the storage is no longer available. But then just put it back in and all is well.....or just don't remove it if it is critical. You can remove a SD card that has music or pictures on it and put it in a SD card adapter and insert it into just about all laptops and most computers.

Never had a problem with any SD cards yet. As long as you get the high speed cards your good to go. And you can always transfer apps back into memory, and still sync app data in the cloud.

Sandisk 512GB SD Card, but it isn't cheap! Then again that is double the storage that the base Mac PRO comes with!

The highest Micro SDXC is 128gb. Somebody on XDA did a hack and used a full size 256gb SDXC by taking it apart and putting it in his phone.

Micro 128gb is going for about $100.
