Any idea on the timeline of when Apple will accept a MacBook Air M1 base on a trade in?
I dislike Facebook market place and Craigslist!
I am past the return window. Even though I am not impressed by the M1 I would prefer the 24” iMac with 16GB of memory.
I have an LG 4K ultra fine monitor as my second display (used as my main display) but the 13” screen for my mail is to small.
Anyone know the timeline for Apple adding a current model to trade ins?

I’m curious why you’d spend so much more on an M1 iMac if you dislike the M1 ?

I understand that you don’t like Craigslist or Marketplace but Apple Trade-in offers less than half the price you could sell them on these websites. You do what you think it’s the best but I wouldn’t personally wait Apple to accept M1 Trade-In. Also, if you’re not impressed by the M1, I would wait for the next gen of Apple silicon or just look to intel Mac, because you’ll get the exact same performances on the 24 inch iMac

I would try to sell your computer online before Apple trade in. They usually don’t offer a fair price. Try here or eBay or mercari.

I see that the M1 performs better in the iMac with the 8core GPU and 16GB of Ram.
Ive noticed that my MacBook Air struggles a bit powering my LG 4K 24” monitor.
As one other poster mentioned that he thinks Apple will allow trade ins when the new MacBooks are released. Hopefully with a step up in CPU. Then I can only hope it’s also available in the 24” iMac.
I’ve been considering purchasing a 2020 27” 5K iMac. Only because it’s more versatile (right now that is)
