A few years ago I got the leather MagSafe wallet with my iPhone 13. It was perfect, amazing, and slowly worn down as I expected. I got a new FineWoven wallet with the iPhone 16 and it is horrible. I hate it. It is falling apart faster than the last one and I am so disappointed. The guy on support tried to help me, but since there is no proof of purchase (it was a gift), and there is no other way to find the serial number, they are not replacing it. I tried to super glue it a month or two ago thinking it was an isolated issue, but it is so uncomfortable to use now.
No extreme heat, never dropped it and all that. I am just hoping that if anyone sees this, and is thinking about buying one, do not buy it. I love apple, but this is a horrible product. Even without this bumper issue, it still feels cheap and stays dirty.
Do you think apple would move on from this idea and kill MagSafe wallets as a whole, like the MagSafe battery pack, or do you think they will pick a new material? I still feel like not using apple leather is such a missed opportunity.
