iLife '07 will probably emerge at MWSF in January.

Leopard will be out sometime in the first quarter of 2007.

Next time do a search before you ask an easy question.

One could wish.... At leas $129 is not that much compared to what those poor windows users are going to have to pay for Vista (unless they all pirate).

Not rude. He's trying to keep the boards free from clutter. Threads like this don't need to be started when a simple forum search can yield a simple answer to a simple question.

He's rude? Have you been around forums at all? That was a very polite way of advising the poster to search first. I would have said the same thing. It gets really, really annoying for those of us who are always here when people post the same damn question every single week. There's a search function for a reason. If anyone was rude, it was the OP and you.

I'm not in the least bit bothered about people posting the same question over and over again. I find people telling others not to post questions on message boards far more annoying.

I kindof agree with you MacSA... if you're sick of seeing the repeat threads, don't click on them. I think that search would actually be pretty tough... what, search for Leopard? He'd get a million hits.

Let's make sure this place is as friendly as possible :)

I have used the search before. It wasn't all that great. You are searching for one answer and then it may give you 100 possibilities.

So Chundles, why not ask it and get the answer that you may need in a hurry. With people like you on here that are so knowledgable and so kind to help out the newbies.

You are ever so sweet Chundles. Really. You must have been in a bad mood Chundles to have written that, usually you are so kind to others.

:D :p

I wasn't using google to search, i was on the forums. Ok so a hundred is a little too much.

But you do have a few years of the same question worth of answers on the forum!

I do know my way around the search engines, but thank you for the info anyways.

Have a nice day.

I tend to think 9 out of 10 redundant threads with same answer is more useful than 9 out of 10 threads with "we're not going to tell you", "you should have known better" and "have you ever tried searching?" in them.

I think it should just get deleted and when the thread starter can't find the thread they can use search to find another just like it.

or just let it go and do something else instead, you don't have to be the person who says the same answers over and over again, let someone else have a go for a change... having a conversation is different to reading a conversation that already happened.

(just thought I'd dump my own efforts at clutter in here)

I wasn't trying to say you didn't , it's just that the Forum search is a bit rubbish (as you clearly found) and Google is better at searching the forum than the forum search.
