Kinda surprised "late 2013" is still the current model and hasn't seen a price drop as a result. Apple being the richest company in the world, and all, think we'll see a speed bump anytime soon? Just curious.

Intel refresh the server platforms when required, not when they get bored. It's not unusual to go over 2 years between Mac Pro updates.
