When will UK Websites start accepting Apple Pay?

With both Safari on iOS and MacOS Sierra accepting Apple Pay for online payments within a week, has anyone found any websites advertising this as an upcoming method of payment?

I just checked on the Apple Store and they don't seem to offer Apple Pay yet, so I'm guessing this hasn't been implemented at the server end yet, even though my understanding was that Safari on iOS 10 already allows it.

I'm expecting the early adopters of in-store Apple Pay (Marks & Spencer, John Lewis etc) to allow this method pretty quickly as they will presumably already have the agreements and infrastructure in place, but with websites accepting the new payments there will presumably be additional online-only sites that accept it too.

While I find autofill of saved credit card data already works quite well, not all sites seem to work completely with it and I still have a few problems. Hopefully adoption of Apple Pay online will be swift.

Incidentally, I had previously assumed for some reason that only contactless cards can be set up to work with apple Pay. seems not. Received a new card this week which even without contactless was still set up successfully in Apple Pay because the issuer is signed up.

If I remember correctly John Lewis was listed as a retailer during the keynote when they first announced Apple Pay on the web, so they will be accepting it, just a question of when. Their app doesn't accept it last time I checked though.
apple.com has Apple Pay enabled when browsing on my iOS 10 device, but not apple.com/uk yet.

John Lewis are pretty good at adopting these things, so yes hopefully will happen soon. They may be waiting until the 20th. Interesting that Apple are accepting it in the US but not here.

The Newcastle branch of John Lewis is my local store but I haven't been in in quite a while. Have they got updated terminals that accept Apple Pay?
