As the title suggests, how much time will it take, for the release of any unlock for the baseband 04.12.02.

Also, i would like to know, how much time it usually takes for a jailbreak to be released and also for a unlock for a baseband to be released.

Unlock is not going to be made.

Too much work for the Devs and you can buy an IMEI unlock online pretty cheap.

JB release wil take months, devs don't have a good exploit to work from at the moment.

Is there any way, one can contribute to the development work ?

Can you provide some pointers on what all parameters does a moderm firmware(baseband) work. And why is it that, its been getting tougher for developers to unlock latest basebands.

nope, Apple is patching holes.

Because of the easy way of getting an IMEI unlock the priority for the Devs is not with unlocking. Why wast countless of hours when people can buy an unlock for $5??

I have an iphone which is locked on to 3 hutchinson UK.
how can i do an imei unlock ?

Is there any way to check whether my contract has ended or not ?
Are there any chances of getting it unlocked directly from the carrier itself ?

3 will unlock your phone after 12 months i think but ring them up on 01933778633 or 333 from the phone and they will confirm that for you

We can't answer these questions
Shouldn't you contact the carrier ?

I am completely unware of the procedure. besides, i dont have 3 plan. I checked on their websites, its requires the mobile no. associated with that carrier contract from which i want to unlock. Which is not available with me.
So, without being an existing 3 customer, how can i get my phone unlocked!!

Google and eBay can help you with that.

i did. but i couldnt find one for 3 hutchinson UK. There was one unlock available for 3 hutchinson. But it was for denmark. I am stuck with this phone on baseband 04.12.02:confused:

The Dev team digressed in their newest blog update that http://cutyoursim.com sells IMEI unlocks. So I would listen to them if were in need of unlocks really.

But my carrier gives unlocks away for free if you already have a binding contract with them... so no problems for me.

Been through this site. Apparently, i found out an entry for 3 hutchinson denmark and 3 hutchinson Austrailia. But none for 3 UK.

I'd email them asking.

I don't know how they inject your IMEI to the common database, but in theory as long as they can get it in that database it should not matter what carrier you have. But they might be using the carriers them self to do it, idk.

If you have to ask this question I would hazard a guess that you don't have the prerequisite skills needed to assist anyway.

Go buy an unlocked phone. It's not like they aren't everywhere now.
