Im thinking about buying a refurb tomorrow, but its been awhile since the imacs where drastically changed. Does anyone know when they can next be updated?

Mate, no one really knows. This was already asked not too long ago as well. Please search next time

If you need it, buy one. If you don't, then wait. We know just as much about future updates as you do pal.

. . . and since Apple won't be at next years Macworld . . . who knows how long you'll have to wait for the next gen iMac . . . iTablet . . . neural net controlled, next gen Mighty Mouse . . .:D

I'm guessing a small update in late August or early September, and a massive one late December or early January.

Ok. I guess Apple could do something for Christmas... Darn, but I've waited so long already

Why you wanna wait even longer? Its not like its gonna be the last upgrade they do, so that you wanna make sure you get the last one.

If you have the money and need one (more specifically, want one) just pounce on it.

See, I love for this to come true. Really would, but what's there to support Apple doing these updates.

I think an update is due soon for the iMacs, so Apple might do a small update. I think i7 mobile chips come out December or something, so it would be right for Apple to keep their hardware up-to-date for their loyal users.

Maybe September?? No one really knows but since SL would be coming out and also that would be about 6 months after the refresh that would be my best guess. Personally, I can't wait cause I really wouldn't mind getting a new iMac but I'm just gonna wait until SL comes and see if there's a refresh.

I hope you realize that Apple could make Keynotes whenever they want. Remember the October 14th event where unibody Macbooks were introduced? That wasn't Macworld but that was still a keynote.

I plan on pouncing ;) on a new iMac, just have to wait until July 1st to order it.
The only 1 thing that I wish the iMac had was an LED back lit display... Everything else is just as I want it.

That's exactly the point of my post . . . Apple can pull the proverbial rabbit out of its hat with barely a weeks notice . . . which makes it even tougher for customers trying to place their bets on whether to buy an Apple product even more, shall we say, risky.
