When you tap to click the trackpad, what % of the time does the click go through?

I feel that the trackpad is not 100% accurate on the 15" MBP, I am tired of giving it excuses. Does it work properly or not?

I have a Mid-2010 MBP 15", works perfectly, I use tap to click both Yosemite and Mavericks. Strangely enough, Yosemite seems a little more accurate, could be my imagination.
