...with the headphones on, what happens when you get a call or a text - does the text alert sound or ringtone come through the headphones (if so, hopefully it isn't too loud compared to the music so it doesn't make you jump!) or does it still just come out of the phone (if in RING mode)?
 
Getting a call:
It shows who is calling on the screen, adjusts the volume to ring adequatley in your headphones, and it also comes out the external speaker. You squeeze the button thing, and it answers, or you can slide the answer slider spot on the screen.

Txt messages are about the same thing, with a window popping up with the first few lines of text, and, just like when getting a call, the music fades out for a second or two, the txt message sound happens, and then music starts back up.

Cool, thanks for the help. So, what about if the iPhone is in silent mode - do you still get the ringtone/text message sound in the earphones (just not on the phone itself), or does it turn these off too?
