hello every one I been worded when's the best time to chnage my intel iMacs as I want to get a fair price for them instead of waiting till the intemechens are not worth as much

the specs are as

Imac 27 5k 2019

cpu - 3.6 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9

Ram 16 GB

2tb ssd ( was a 3tb fusion and changed to 2tb ssd by a apple authorised repair centre after it was out of warranty )

MacBook Pro

cpu - Intel Core i9

Ram 16 GB

1tb ssd

I would be looking. to get the same ram and ssd spaces when ever the model I have told u about above move to apple silicon hop full in the next 3 _4 years

there both looked after well and only ever have apple authorised people look at them. when need the one with a blemish is the Mac book pro 16 inch with these 2 we nick at the right side of the screen apart from that all looked after and serviced well

the first 15 inch and imc both were mid 2010 and ran right up to hight sera till I got these new ones in 2019 so I tend to keep my machines as long as apple give them os support as I feel I get my moneys worth just like with my mid 2010 ones

The best time would've been early November of 2020 before the first M1 Macs shipped and some people still thought Apple would never be able to pull this off. Unfortunately, it's too late now. Intel Macs have already lost so much value that it doesn't really matter any more at this point. In fact, the longer you wait the more they might be worth one day. I can see a market for well-kept and well-running 2019/2020 Intel Macs to run niche applications that require actual Intel silicon and won't run in Rosetta 2 a couple of years from now.

I would at least hold to the iMac for now. Its used price has been hit by both the M1 Macs and the 2020 iMac with the T2 chip and more powerful GPUs.

there
my 2010 macbook air is not worth anything to apple but a whole world to me!
that is what matters is how you can still get use out of a still productive computer

That's a real hard question to answer, but I don't usually put any value on trade-in when deciding on buying a new machine, so I think we look at things in a totally different way.

I'd really love to own something like your iMac though, that'll probably work well for you for some time to come! (Though I'd think about adding more RAM)
