So people are complaining about Americentric apps appearing in their countries iTunes store. However if those weren't there it seems the stores would be pretty sparse. Are there no developers interested in the iPhone outside of America?

Could it be because the phone is relatively new outside of the USA? Although I am living in the UK now and the phone has been here for awhile yet it seems to be all apps that aren't much use outside of the USA. I am actually American (Yes, I realize my user name is now outdated. Note to self: Never use geographic places for user names) so don't mind so much but could see it being aggravating for others over seas.

I'm based in Australia but have been waiting for my contract to kick in for a while now! Already have two apps approved; just waiting to be put on the app store :)
You're right though. There seems to be an overwhelming amount of people from the US

So many possibilities yet such a lack of innovation, people are too busy making another magic 8ball or another gif of a frickin flame.

The SDK has been available for the same time everywhere so im not sure why there isnt much from developers outside the US.

I just want a decent UK specific score app and entertainment/map app that allows you to input your location so you can use it on a Touch.

Where are all of the developers outside the USA? Outsourced to program for American companies? :p

Based in the UK, and currently have one application in development for deployment in late 2009.

Late 09 LOL We are saved!!!

He just wants to make use of the 5MP front-facing Camera that will be coming in the 3rd iPhone model :p

Anyway, R-Fly, what is this app that you speak of (just some juicy info, not too much so someone could steal your idea!)

I'm currently in talks with Apple, to provide a new revolutionary application which will manage graphical elements of iPhone OS.
The application does not break the terms of the SDK or the developer agreement.

Look out for it hitting the App Store late 2009, assure you, you won't want to miss it.
Oh - It'll be free too.

There you have it. :) An app for a country the phone hasn't been released in yet. Though nice job I am teasing you of course.

Haha so very true. When are they releasing it China again? never? haha hopefully some tourists will buy it. It's actually really useful. Though useful apps don't seem to be terribly popular...
