The problem for me is no one locally plays Legacy or Vintage. I sometimes play in a Modern tournament, but those are rare.

----------

I have an account and a fair amount of cards. But I mostly just play with friends and we haven't played for a while. It's bad for the pocketbook!

Standard is bad for the pocketbook. Per annum it is the most expensive format. I stick to Eternal formats. They have the highest starter cost, but almost zero per annum.

I'm hoping Modern will attract more players with Modern Masters release and the scheduled Standard rotation in a few months.

At some point I just played sealed deck every so often and when my friends and I would get together we'd... I can't remember exactly but it was something like you had one card that was your avatar and you could basically "draw" from all the other cards in the game. It was crazy and we enjoyed it, especially since we didn't have to buy more cards and everybody was always on an even but random playing field.
