$15 for Photo Stream?

Photo Sream is a free service, Apple will save your photos for 30 days (or the first 1,000, whichever comes first)

In order to get photo stream I need to pay 15 to update my iPhoto. It doesn't work on the one that works on my computer I got a YEAR ago.
