I'm trying to find my templates for pages and numbers. I thought I had to look in this folder
~/Library/Containers/com.apple.iWork.Pages/Data/Library/Application Support/User Templates When I looked in Containers there is a folder for com.apple.iWork.Keynote but the corrisponding folders for pages and numbers look like documents not folders with Data-Library-Application Support-User Templates etc.

I tried to open the document called com.apple.Work.Keynote and got this message

“com.apple.iWork.Numbers” can’t be opened for some reason.

Any help would be much appreciated

Mine are in this folder inside the app package. Same for Numbers.

/Applications/Pages.app/Contents/SharedSupport/Templates

You should be able to open com.apple.iWork.Numbers (and .Pages) by right-clicking and selecting Show Package Contents.
