I have selected to take RAW photos, and I have also selected the 48MP option in photos, but when I take the pictures and then I go to see the info of the picture, it seems it takes 10mp, sometimes 12mp, but have yet to see 48mp, is there a setting switch I'm missing?

Ensure that you’re using the 1x camera. Zooming in or out will revert back to 12 MP if I’m not mistaken.

Correct. Zooming in or out switches to one of the other sensors, which are still 12 MP at this point. Also, the camera will output a 12 MP RAW if you use night mode (and maybe any low light photo- not sure on that one). With pixels that small, the camera knows it needs a fair amount of light to get a good image and adjust accordingly.

I like your avatar. Pretty cool.

I'm puzzled as to why the photo files are relatively small when I'm shooting raw at night? Does the camera down-covert the 48mp to 12mp? In fact, when compared side by side, some of the photo files(shot nearly simultaneous) are smaller/equal the the photo files from my older iPhone 13 Pro. Is this normal? Or am I missing some settings?

Thanks!
