A few of the CHOSEN ONES got Ipads either Thursday or Friday this week to review. Do they have to wait to post the reviews? Let's go Walt and David!

The reviews can't be published until release day.

I could be wrong, but I don't think thats correct.

and to the OP, it was rumored that the review units would go out this week (rumored), but no one has confirmed to having one yet, and its only saturday morning, how can you be expecting an in depth review already? give it time.

They have to actually use them before they can review them. A good review takes a few days of use to find all the nooks and crannies. and quirks.

Mossberg and Pogue are published in the Thurs eds of their respective papers (Weds night online I believe).

Baig is published in the Wed ed. of USAToday.

Wednesday! (at least for the last two iPhones reviews appeared on that day)

Like most companies that give reviewers early access to products, the company has an embargo date they set. This date is the earliest the reviewer can make his/her review public. This date of course is set by Apple.

If I'm a betting man I say Wednesday night.

Moss might have already published his, but nobody reads/watches his reviews. :)

There is so much information out that I think reviews will be less important this time around. There must be a populous group of people who haven't decided and they will make a decision on various factors, like general hype, actually seeing the product and so on.

I am reluctant too and today I was thinking about passing on this version, although I wanted to take advantage of the UK 14 days cancellation period.

I say mossberg reviews this thursday in WSJ. 2 days b4 launch to create even more hype. Not that its needed.

But info up to now has been quantity, not quality since no one has of yet been able to report on the deep details undisclosed by Apple or actual battery life, as opposed to stated, or most important, daily life w/ the iPad. Up to now the most time any public reviewer has had with the iPad is a half hour.
