Where are the new minis?

Well? It is a one year old design, and GMA950/DVD RW for 799$ is a bit insane.

Apple- it cant be hard to upgrade it to the new nvidia or intel x4500hd platform can it?

I have been waiting for the answer to this question for about 6 months now. I have been waiting to run to the apple store to buy the new mini when released. Hopefully there will be news soon.

Macworld '09. Only it won't be called the Mac Mini anymore. That is my guess.

If they somehow are not going to redesign, which I highly doubt, it might get upgraded with the iMac in November.

Just a thought but if some of you have been waiting so long for a new mini, wouldn't you have saved up enough money or just gave into getting a iMac or Mac Pro? Even now one could still get a Macbook that drives a large display, and just because its a notebook doesn't mean you have to take it everywhere.

All in all, I think the mini is dying a slow and painful death.

It has nothing to due with money. I own 2 Mac Pros & 1 MacBook Pro. I can afford to buy another Mac Pro but I dont think it looks right sitting next to my 60 Plasma.
