The best you can do is to try to take advantage of one of the country code top-level domains. Domain hacks are a popular way to try to create unique site addresses in this way.
You might be able to, if you run your own Domain Name Server, however, nobody in the outside world will be able to access your new domain -- only the machines in your own network.

I am doing this for a small company that i work for and like last.fm their is no way to get something like that

You can use the existing top level domain names. Period.
The companies who have 2 letter domains like .tv and .fm have purchased domains from the countries that have these country domains - Tuvalu (.tv) and the Federated States of Micronesia (.fm)
