I bought a used 7,1 Mac Pro with a 12 Core CPU which I would like to upgrade to a 24 Core or 28 Core but for the life of me cannot find anyone on eBay who sells these at a reasonable price - looking for the retail version of these CPUs and not the QS versions shipping from China. These CPUs seemed to be readily available a year and two years ago but now cannot find any for sale... any ideas?!

Chip launched in 2019 so I suspect that probably with 2022 being 3 years then possibly people sell on after 3 year write down.
most likely not a slew of them arriving from those sources now.

where can find them for sale then is brand new and higher then the price suggested on the Intel product page and invariably a pre order as in not in stock.

with this in mind then second hand market for those available people will seek to make more from what they do have Rather then at previous lower price.

in uk then scan selling pre order for £7.5k brand new.

not exactly a mainstream chip though with those sorts of prices.

Hi, If you'll find it I'll be happy to buy your 12 core :)
