Dear Mac Mini Experts,

I'm thinking of upgrading my M4 Mac Mini's SSD storage from 256 GB to 2 TB after watching this video. Where can I purchase the SSD chips that are compatible with M4 Mac Mini?

Thanks!

I just upgraded my Mini's base 256GB storage to 2TB using an OWC 1M2 enclosure along with a Crucial T500 2TB Nvme module. I'm running my main OS from the drive and it works great. The memory bandwidth is faster with my external storage than it is with the 256GB internal storage. I am super happy how great it works. I know I cannot use Apple Intelligence which is fine because I have no interest in that.

You'd better be good with your desoldering and soldering skills, because that NAND isn't exactly cheap.

I personally just added a USB 4 enclosure with 4 TB SSD.
