Where can I find modern/contemporary jewelry?

Does anyone know of some good stores (preferably online) where I can find jewelry that has a modern look to it? One brand I found that I really like is Skagen, but I'm interested to find others that are similar.

P.S. This is for a gift.

I don't know any great online sources, but here is a small boutique chain that carries a lot of modern designs. At least it will give you some ideas.
