Sorry if this is to be found somewhere here, but I haven't been able to track it down. I have checked all the websites i know to get Firmware 3.0 and i just get a zip folder that when i unzip is just a folder.
Someone told me "when you download it, select save, then when you're choosing what to name it, don't save it as zip select all files then at the file name just add .ipsw"
I have tried this and it did turn it into an IPSW file but redsn0w 0.8 just comes up with "unable to recognize specified IPSW".
I'd be grateful for any help because I don't know what to try next. By the way i do know there is another jailbreak purplera1n but many say it causes problems and i would like to stick with the dev team.
